subvalvular aortic stenosis

by kbeeler, Nov 03, 2009 07:59PM
I am a 34 year old woman that had surgery to remove subvalvular aortic stenosis at the age of 27.  I have blockage again and require a second surgery.  My surgreon does not want to do the surgery this time because he feels more work may need to be done to open up the area so that if the membrane and scar tissue reoccur the larger opening will prevent having to repeat surgeries over and over again.  He does not know of any surgeon that currently does this surgery, only one at IU that he doesnt think still does this type of surgery.  My question is does anyone know of a surgeon  that can perform this type of surgery. Any response will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you for your time
