WHAT DOES 2+TRICUSPID REGUGITATION, PEAK VELOCITY 2.9M/SEC.  MEAN?
IS IT A SCALE, AND IF SO WHERE DOES THAT FALL IN NEEDING REPLACEMENT?

Posted by CCF CARDIO MD - CRC on August 05, 1999 at 11:03:20
Regurgitation is graded from 0 (none) to 4 (severe) so 2 is moderate.  The velocity relates to pressure differences between chambers and is not a marker of severity.  Generally the tricuspid valve is not replaced if it is the only problem.
