thickening of mitral valve
i have the thickening of mitral valve . can this create some kind of problem

i had the same thing and depending on the severity of the thickening it may end up leading to a replacement of the mitral valve or if it is not as severe possibly a repair. are you experiencing any symptoms such as dizziness, shortness of breath?  you should have an echocardiogram done to see how severe it is and if you have mitral regurgitation.  i had a replacement done at cleveland clinic.  it is not easy to go through by any means but you will feel so much better afterwards if the doctors believe that is the right choice of action for you.
