to close or not to close patent forman oval with anersym associated

I am very confused I have been to 2 heart surgeons and several other doctors.  After finding a patent forman oval with anersyn associated, during a eco exam.  Surgery to close was recommended to me.  That was in July 2005.  However the FDA said no.  so we did not do the closure.  Now I live in Az and a new insurance and new Dr.  They strongly recommend it be closed.  On the second visit to the Az Dr. he kinda backed off.  He said because after a MRI there was no proof of stroke or TIA.  The device being used is sometimes causing blood clots and maybe I would be better off not getting the closure.  The nurioglist is concerned about the anersym associated with the PFO and highly recommends closure.  What do i do  The decision is mine.  If it were you would you get it closed?

I FEEL THE SAME WAY AS THE LADY WHO IS UNDECIDED AS TO WHETHER TO HAVE THE CLOSURE OR NOT.  MY DOCTOR SAID IT HAS NOT BEEN PROVEN TO HIM THAT THIS HOLE IN MY HEART IS THE CAUSE OF MY TIA ON AN AEROPLANE, BUT HE LEAVES THE DECISION TO MYSELF, TAKING GREAT EFFORTS TO TELL ME THE RISKS (SCARED OF LITIGATION THESE DAY), BUT I AM NOT QUALIFIED TO SAY IF I REALLY NEED THIS OR NOT, OR WHAT WOULD BE BEST FOR ME??????? WOULD SOMONE TAKE A STAND AND SAY, IF YOU WERE MY WIFE I WOULD URGE YOU TO GET IT DONE OR NOT, AS THE CASE MAY BE. JUST WANT SOMEONE TO TELL ME ITS A GOOD OR BAD IDEA
