my 14 y/o girl was born with a small vsd. the recomendations was not to close it if no symptms.
however this year she developed endocardritis. After treating her with six weeks of IV antibiotics. they recommended the surgery to close the VSD. they did the surgery on July of this year. however we found out that the surgery was not successfull the VSD was not closed completly. Now they are
suggesting a second operaion. My question is
1) is it safe to do another surgery. are the risks the same as the first surgery or it is higer since she had an open heart surgery six month earlier.
