vasovagal/heart monitor... lots of ?'s Help!!!!!

I just got my  heart monitor reading back.. Dr. says he couldnt find anything wrong with it.  Is that good for someone who faints and prognoses is vasovagal?  He wants me to go see a specialist now to confirm.( tilt table test ).  Is it gonna make me faint again?  How accurate is this thing?  Can I drive can I work????  I dont know what to expect from vasovagal.  Ive looked online and I see alot but not what Im looking for ... PLEASE tell me about your lifestyles and exceptance of this condition. PLEASE

If you are passing out you should NOT be driving.   pots.org is a good site, as mentioned above.

Go to pots.org and scroll down the page until you see Nuerocardiogenic Syncope which is just another name for what you are asking about.  Click on the title.  Plenty of info there.

Hi and welcome!

I think the tilt table to test is done to see what happens when you change positions or when your blood pressure changes.  If I understand correctly, it will place you in positions to "challenge" your heart rhythm and your vasovagal response.

Sorry to hear you are dealing with syncope.  

I'm not sure how they treat someone with vasovagal syncope, but maybe something to regulate blood pressure.  I remember a doctor telling me a long time ago, that I could take something call procardia b/c my BP was low.  Never took it though.

Hope the test goes well and that you are able to get some relief from the fainting spells.
