verapamil side effects

verapamil side effects

Hello,
I am 42 and on verapamil for diastolic disfunction. I am wondering if the medication could cause disruption in the menstrual cycle (mid-cycle bleeding) and if the fatigue associated with the verapamil will ease up.

Dear labrat,
Verapamil belongs to the class of medications called calcium channel blockers. These medications are not known for causing disruptions in the menstrual cycle. I don't know about the associated fatigue you are having. This is also not a typical reaction to calcium channel blockers.
