visible pulse in body

hello i am a 26 year old male who has high blood pressure, i take medication for it (benicar 20mg). i have a history of hypertension on my father's side of the family. my father started taking medication when he was 25. about a year ago, after visiting the doctor for nausea, he noticed that my blood pressure was very high so he put me on medication, since then i have noticed my pulse constantly in my neck, inner-lower bicep, palm, and around my ankle. i can also see my pulse in my stomach. i have been overweight for much of my life but have always followed a regular exercise routine (3-5 times per week) and stayed active in sports as a child. i have used cocaine recreationally (i quit over a year ago), have smoked marijuana for a few years (i use a vaporizer now), and drink moderately as well. i was wondering if this visible pulse is normal or if i should see a specialist. i've told a couple of doctors about it over the last year and they didnt seem alarmed. i also have a history of anxiety, and have occasional panic attacks, occasional being one every six months or so. this visible pulse is driving me crazy, and keeps me awake at night thinking about it because i can feel the pulse beating against my pillow. please help!

The pulse in your stomach may be a concern.  You may want an untrasound of your abdomen to make sure that you do not have an aneursym as this is a symptoms of one.  Otherwise, the pulses that you feel and see are most likely due to a strong heartbeat which is good.  I know I used to be able to see my pulses when I was younger.  There are times that I am very aware of my pulses and the pounding of my heartbeat.  Make sure that your blood pressure is staying down.  If you have no other symptoms other than the pulses, it most likely it nothing to worry about.  If you start having dizziness, lightedheadness, tiredness, weakness you should mention that to your doctor.
