You would be at very high risk indeed of heart attack or stroke. Internal bleeding would become a strong possibility if you have any weaknesses in your blood vessels. Have they issued you with any medication to take if it does rise again? and what was the diagnosis as to the cause?
i was admitted to the hospital with a BP of 220/116. Tell me please just exactly what canhappen at these numbers. It came down after medicine and an over night stay. I am afraid that it will rise again
A perfusion defect is an SMALL area of the heart with diminished blood flow under stress. Reversible means that it was not see at rest so it can be reversed as it is not always there which could indicate dead heart muscle from a previous MI, but only under stress. This can indicate a blockage. Does your husband have any symptoms like chest pain or shortness of breath with exertion? If so, he should consider a cath to rule out a bloackage in one of his arteries. What does his doctor reccommend?
Good Luck!
