when will he feel better

my husband had open heart surgery in July to replace an aortic valve.  He still feels bad.  he is taking coumdian, and he feels as though his insides are shaking.  if this normal?

Normally, it takes about a year to recover from heart surgery.  If he is older, it will take longer.  By his insides shaking, do you mean just in his chest and back?  When a person has a heart attack sometimes the back vibrates.  You may want to ask the doctor about the shaking he is feeling.  Coumadin can make a person feel weak.  I would question the doctor as to why coumadin instead of Plavix.  Coumadin is much stronger.  Doctors I have spoke with suggest Plavix for at least a year and sometimes for the rest of the persons life. Make sure he is getting his blood check often so that it does not become too thin.
