wild blood pressure fluctuations

Hello, I am on metoprolol and HCTZ for high blood pressure. My blood pressure has  fluctuated incredibly for a long time, but I have been getting higher readings for the last 5-6 days. I have a home blood pressure gauge and use it regularly for years. My blood pressure fluctuates from 160/113 to 107/68. When the bp is low, (107/68) I feel dizzy. It bounces up and down even when I am lying down it can shoot up. Typically it would usually be closer to 136/92 and fluctuate ridiculously, but usually not this high. Dr. Doesn't seem to understand or can't explain to me why I have such incredible fluctuations.  Also, pulse rate fluctuates from 55 to 90 (sometimes 90 when lying down and 55 after walking around!)

How long have you been on this BP med?  Sometimes it takes awhile before the BP meds go into effect.

If this doctor does not listen and is not willing to switch you to another BP med I would find me another doctor.
