worried about a problem I need my mind eased

I got a EKG done and the doctor  said there is a minimal ST.segment elevation in lead v1 which it isn't brugada. there is more ST. segment elevation in one of three beats in v1 however this is caused by a technical issue during the EKG whether to proceed with any other test depends on mainly symptons discuss this with cardologist it is certainly not a clear case of Brugada? I have a very bad anxiety disorder could some one tell me what he means. Does he mean he didn't see no BRUGADA on my EKG or he wasn't sure.  pleas help me

DIDN'T YOU ALREADY ASK A CARDIOLOGIST ON THE OTHE FORUM??  READ BELOW!

While I do understand your anxiety I do not understand why you frequently post on this forum with different headlines hoping somebody can help you.  We are not doctors.  Bruguda is very rare therefore nobody can give you advise on this board for example like we give advise/support to each other about PVC's.

I personally don't care if you post every 5 minutes, but I do not understand why you put yourself through this anxiety.  Make another appointment and have the Cardiologist set your mind at ease.  If you cannot do that and you have to wait 3 months then go on Google and type in Bruguda and you will get tons of hits where you can read all about it or go to the Library at a Teaching Hospital and read about it.  As you can see nobody on this board knows much about Bruguda or has family members who have/had it.

I'm concerned about your anxiety level.  You need to get some kind of explanation.  I do understand that 3 months is a long time being in suspense, but as you can see people on this board so far could not help you because Bruguda is so very rare.

. i am a 32 yr. old male with history of SVT. and IRBB. All tests i have been through have been normal. Holter, EKG, stress, echo, calcium scan. I recently read an article on Brugada and I am scared to death. My primary called my cardio. to discuss and was told I have secondary signs. What does that mean?? Did not help my anxiety. I have an appointment with the cardio. in about 3 weeks, however i don't think I can take the anxiety of waiting. i have 3 sets of ekg's an i am trying to read them myself. Should I wait, idf i email the ecg's could someone tell me tha i have an elevated ST seg. in V1-V3. I don't think I nor my wife can wait till april. Thank You,

bdal Hello,

Being an informed patient is very important, but try not to scare yourself. Brugada is a very rare syndrome. What your doctor probably means by secondary symptoms is that you don't have any high risk features for Brugada syndrome.

If you are not a physcian, you are not going to be able to read an EKG. Even the then, the experience difference between reading EKGs as a primary care doctor versus a cardiologist or electrophysiologist is great. Brugada is not an easy diagnosis to make. You need your cardiologist to help. If you doctors felt this was an emergency, I don't think they would make you wait 3 weeks.

I do not intend to belittle your concerns -- I know just about anyone can work themselves into a frenzy by reading about conditions. Keep in mind that medical diagnosis are often like a horoscope, you can read a lot into them to make it sound like you have something that you don't.

I hope this helps. Thanks for posting.

I have anxiety like you do.  If I were you, I'd just get another opinion and take that one and go on and live life.  You will kill yourself worrying over this.
