If an EP says you don't have it, then you most likley don't have it and just think you do because of all the stuff you are reading about it.
If you don't feel comfortable in waiting 3 months for a repeat, then take a copy of your EKG to another EP for a second opinion.
If it makes you feel any better, I received some copies of EKG's I had in 2003 that showed I had a ST elevation and I am still here. :)
st. segment in v1 doesn't mean I have brugada I won't read anything else
I'm sorry I meant st.segment elevated in v1 what other possiblities could this be?
What kind of symptoms are you having?
From what I gather, elevated ST can be a normal variant. That's why it's important that doctors read the actual strips from the EKG and not the machine's interpretation.
Has your doctor commented on your elevated ST?
ok this what happen I have a very high anxiety, one ep doc. told me I have a st.segment elevated in v1 and I have brugada I went to another ep doc and he said he doesn't think I have brugada he wants me to go back in 3 months to get another ekg done see if it is any changes I feel perfectly fine but I read you can feel fine and get sudden cardiac arrest at rest or sleep. I'm so scared I can't sleep cuase I'm worried how can I rule this out
Oh, so you had a doctor tell you he/she thought you had Brugada? What did he tell you to do for follow-up?
I would ask for another EKG now rather than wait.
This ep I never seen I faxed it over to him he is the one who said I have brugada and I went to see the second ep in person and told him what the other ep said cause I was so scared and he did a 2 ekg that day and said he doesn't think I have brugada but we will follow up in 3 months to do another one
Brugada id some type of life threatin arrythmia
