After open heart surgery

My husband had a heart valve replaced and one repaired 6 weeks ago today. He is still taking pain meds and does not have an appetite. He seems to be tired a lot and when he takes walks that's when he does walk he walk really slow as if he was on granny gear. My question is. Is this normal?

This is normal and may be more of a result of anxiety and concern about over doing things. Does he experience any symptoms like shortness of breath?
