3 month after ablation

Hello everyone.I had my afib ablation done Nov.13 2012.I was told that it will take 3 months to know how successful was the procedure.during those 3 months,I had 2 bad afib episodes. Now I am not having a complete afib episode but a lot of skips and jumpiness.Doctor wants ne to stay on tykosin until may.He still think I will feel better by that time.If I need to do my ablation again I will do it .I heard the chances of success after the second is much higher.hope my doc. is correct and I don't need a second one......thanks

Yes, I like your positive attitude! It can take more than one ablation but some people are fine after one so it's hard to tell. After the first one, it becomes not such a big deal too. And with each procedure, the chances of success increase. They keep us on the meds until they are sure we don't need them anymore.
I wish you the best and will keep you in my prayers!
