48 hour halter

I have been having heart flutters for 3 weeks now.Back on july 4th I had an ekg and blood work done and everything was fine.Since then 3 weeks ago my heart started to flutter again,except for this time it does it everyday.They have ordered the 48 hour monitor but my appointment isnt for two weeks.Is it normal to wait so long?please help

cut out the caffine. It used to drive me nuts, the flutters and a pulse near the sturnum. I cut out caffine and im fine now

I'm not sure what is 'normal' but when I suddenly had flutters for several days i called my cardiologist and I was on holter monitor the next day.  Maybe try another doctor or cardiologist.  The nurse actually puts the thing on you and only takes a few minutes.  Not sure why they would say wait two weeks.
