I have had a couple of AFib attacks since my ablation in September, the last being two weeks ago which felt very severe with a very fast irregular pulse which reverted after a couple of hours back into sinus. I won't be seeing the consultant until the end of this month. During the attack, I wondered if it would be in order to take 100mg Flecainide to stop the attack. I was on this pre-ablation and responded very well, having five clear months beforehand.
During the ablation I went into AFib and it was stopped before returning to the ward by administering Flecainide intravenously. Does anyone use a drug during AFib attacks?
