My daughter had ASD surgery when she was 5 and and now she is 8 and has had 2 ultrasounds in between and doctors say that she is doing well. My question is... Is she going to need a pacemaker in the future and should she have been in meds right after surgery?

I take you are talking about Atrial Septal Defect.

I can not think of every hearing any connections between ASD (congenital and treated at a young age - may be the only case) and ever needing a pacemaker.  I also do not understand you concern about need for meds right after surgery.  Did you have anything specifically in mind?
