Had cateration of heart on wednesday was walking outside and did some activity came in and checked my self had bruising is that normal
Update: Had my ablation done on Monday, home from hospital on Thursday, Doctor said No Work for 3 weeks. Thanks to all for your input and comments!
I had an ablation on Thursday, July 9th, and was back at work Monday July 13 without any problems. I was told not to lift anything heavy or do intense exercise for 1 week so that the catheter entry sites can heel properly. I felt well enough by Friday to go for a short bike ride. I have been increasing the intensity ever since then without any problems.
Hi I was one of the unfortanate people that didn't feel very well after my ablation. They used alot of medicine to keep me relaxed and I was in the lab alot longer than expected. You can't lift anything for a while so if you do that for a living it will be longer than a sit down job. Since it is not through an artery and it's through a vein the recovery time is less than a heart cateration. As far as the actualy heart I think a few days is all you need. They worry more about the groin sites.
Much depends on how complicated you procedure was. If typical or average I'd guess you can go back to a "desk job" in a few days and "physical job" in a few weeks. I do not have any personal experience, but that seems to be about what I've read in the past.
We can hope someone with a direct experience can input their experience.
Again, you may have to give some idea of what took place, and how your feel in the groin area.
