Abnormal ST on EKG

I am a 54 year old male with a history of mild hypertension and hypercholesterolemia.

In 2003 my Cardiolite treadmill exercise stress test pointed to coronary artery disease and abnormal TMT. ST abnormalities - ischemic in type plus a defect on the inferior wall, most likely due to chest wall attentuation.

This led to a cardiac catheterization which came back negative.

Recently I repeated this test on the advice of my internist. Not suprisingly the result came back abnormal again.

Resting heartbeat was 55, and rose to 142 at peak after 10 minutes.

Everything normal apart from the following:

1. Significant ST depression mostly on precordial leads during exercise

2. questionable perfusion defect over the inferior aspect of the left ventricle. "Previous infarction or diaphragmatic artifact". No evidence of re-perfusion to indicate active ishemia

I have no symptoms. I have been an active cyclist for 20 years, riding most weekends with heart rates over 80% for multiple hours.

My cardiologist who performed the catheterization five years ago has the results but I really would like to hear a second opinion on whether I should be worrying about this test.
