Advice please

Hello. Approx 10 days ago I was decorating and had a feeling in my heart like going over a hill. Checked pulse and seemed ok. This has been happening since to the point where it is happening around 10 times per day. I have noticed a few seconds before one is occurring if I put my hand on my pulse it pauses for a second whilst this sensation occurs then carries on at its normal rate which is around 55beats per min.
This is starting to worry me. A few years ago I had chest pain and was given 2 ECG and bloods etc which were fine.
I do suffer a little from anxiety but not particularly worried about anything at present. I'm male, 39yrs, non smoker, medium build. Go to gym around 4 times per week and do moderate exercise. Have had no problems whilst at gym.
Any ideas?
Many thanks.
Chris

Sounds like run of the mill ectopic beats.  These are extra beats in your upper heart/pacs or lower heart/pvcs.  They are completely harmless in an otherwise healthy heart.  It sounds your heart was looked at a bit and seems to be fine but you may want to revisit your doctor and let them know the issue is still occurring.  Sometimes having an echo done can give you peace of mind about the extra beats.  Things to try to avoid are caffeine, foods that cause acid reflux, sugary foods and stress.  Those tend to be the biggest triggers.  I am also hearing that low potassium can also be part of the problem so you may want to have that checked again as well.  So just go get a check up if you haven't in a while and try not to fret.  Work on the anxiety because it will still affect you even while you aren't in stress. Take care and try not to worry.  Lots of people have them.
