Airy or hollow feeling in chest? Heart problem?

It feels like someone blew up a balloon and put it in my chest, pushing all the organs and stuff aside so there's just a hollow and airy feeling left over. Sometimes it's in my throat, too. I went to get an EKG done, but since I was nervous, my heart was beating a little fast and strong so if there was any arythmia or problem, it wouldn't show up. Sometimes I get these feelings like my heart's skipping beats and I want to say its either because of PVCs or PACs, but like I said, they dont happen during EKGs so they can't be diagnosed.  They won't let me take a Holter monitor because I'm young and because the EKGs are all clean. So, my questions are: 1. Does anyone else with arythmias have that airy/hollow feeling in your chest? Or does anyone know what it's caused by? 2. Can EKGs pick up a heart problem even if your heart's beating normal during it? 3. Besides the airy feeling, I'm pretty much symptomless. I don't get dizzy or nauseous. Does no symptoms mean there's nothing to worry about? And this one is kind of out there, but what is V-Tach? I hear people say its a bunch of PVCs in a row, but then I hear other people say its just a really fast heartbeat that starts in the ventriculars. How can it be both at the same time?
Thank you for your time!

Pvcs and pacs are technically heartbeats but they are initiated from a spot that is not where the heart typically initiates a beat.  So vt is a fast heart beat that originates in the ventricles but it is still a run of pvcs that make up vt.    It is when the ventricles take over beating the heart.  Though if the run is short lived being just a few beats or less then 30 seconds it is considered nonsustained and not a threat.  Many people with very healthy hearts have short little 3-5 or so beat runs that do not give off any other symptoms except what they feel.  The airy feeling is probably some thing to do with a pvc though it could be you have gas that is pushing at your organs.  Acid reflux and stomach gas can irritate the vagus nerve causing it to trigger the heart into having pvcs.  So maybe try a few antacids or see if you can burp and feel the airiness go away.

As for the EKG they can tell a lot about the health of the heart from it and even whether or not someone had a heart attack even where in the heart there might be damage so if your EKG was normal than they percieve that your heart is healthy and though you do likely have some sort of ectopic beats, pacs or pvcs, they would need to see them to diagnose you with them but even if you do have them they are not considered a threat to you.  Just do your best to try and manage any stress or stomach issues and you may find your pvcs decrease or go away all together.  No matter what just try and not stress about them as it will make them worse. Take care.

Ok. The only thing I might add to this is that the Airey feeling could be anxiety. When I am really stressing,  I get that.   If this is what s going on,  just try relaxing,  or deep breathing.  I also use light exercise to kill anxiety.  Cut back on coffee and alcohol,  and if you smoke,  quit.

When I get AFib I also get the feeling I am blown up with air and cannot breathe it out.  I too have wondered whether it could be down to anxiety when an attack kicks in......
