Arrhythmia-Ablation-Pace Maker

I am a 46 yr old man who for alittle over a year battled with a Heart Arrhythmia. My Arrhythmia attack would come every 3-4 months...then they came a could weeks apart. My heart rate would race to 180. I would go to ER and they would treat it. My Cardiologist finally talked me into having an Ablation done to fix the Arrhythmia.

QUESTION: How normally is it that while having an Ablation done the doctor damages the AV Node and patients end up with implanted Pace Makers?

I did. I was advised by my doctor that this was an easy procedure and that everything would be fine. Now I have a Pace Maker and trying to adjust to it.

Well my situation is a little different, but I also had to get a pacemaker. I had a sinus node modification and two weeks later had to get a pacemaker put in and that was ten days ago so I know what you are going through.
How are you adjusting? I am just trying to take it one day at a time. I am so scared that I will pull my leads out  from doing too much...

I have a new (number 2) pacemaker implanted to me after the ablation.  They expected.  It was a His bundle ablation for wpw.  Unexpected a new pathway formed to join the Atrial and Ventricle during my heart block.  they didn't getrid of my wpw.
