Arrhythmia and Anxiety

I cannot help but to notice that there are so many connections between anxiety, panic attacks and arrhythmia.
I have experienced all recently.  They all came on in the past 1 year.
Does anyone know if there is a treatment out there that looks specifically at this grouping?
Also has anyone ever been tested for too much adrenaline in their system?

Generally when there are flushes of adrenaline in your system in most cases it is either thyroid based or endorphin based and both should be tested to see how much is releasing into the body.  Panic/anxiety definately effect the heart and you need to understand that it is very different than normal if there is such a thing and arrthymias because most arry. are electrically based and panic and anxiety again are a cause and effect because w. panic attacks we cause the heart to react to what is going on w. us mentally an d the heart reacts by working harder than it is used to thus basically forcing it to react w. rapid heart rates and uneven pumping of the organ.  The only sure way to know is thru EP mapping to find out what the trigger point is.  I don't really know if i answered your question..........................

Funny you asked that.  I had an apt. today with an endocrinologist.  I will be doing a 24hr. urine collection to test for catecholamines, which will disclose if there are any adrenal problems (excess adrenaline), plus blood work for a variety of hormones, minerals and thyroid.  I am doing this to rule out any other factors that may be causing my arrhythmia, aside from the assumed electrical problems.
The results will be available in about 10 days so I will post the outcome.
Many times I feel that the adrenaline may be an issue in my arrhythmia and anxiety response.
The endocrinologist and the cardiologists have concurred that excess adrenaline can be a major factor in arrhythmia, unfortunately there are no direct ways to remedy this problem since adrenaline is key in bio function and you don't mess with it.  This is being said if there are no real organic issues with the adrenals.
If there are no problems with the adrenals and the adrenaline are elevated, I think the way to calm it is through exercise, meditation, etc.
I'll let you all know if I find out anything interesting.

for 30 years I have controlled occasional anxiety and panic attacks by putting  0.50 alprazolam tablets under my tongue and hanging on 20 or 30 minutes. I am no addicted not dependent onthis drug which comes under many brands - Tafil, Valium etc.
good stuff

I've heard that, but never tried it.  Taking it sublingual would definitely make it get wherever it needs to be faster.

Hello, I said I would post the finding on my endocrinology testing done recently, checking for extra adrenaline as being a culprit in my PVC's and body vibrations.
SO not sure if anyone's interested but the endocrinology reports are as follows.  My catecholamines are normal, so there is no excess adrenaline flowing in my body causing PVC's or body vibrations.  All else is within normal range except for my iron which is at the bottom of the normal range.  Minerals, hormones, thyroid are all normal.  So I can scratch these things off the "Blame" list.
I'm just left with my skippy heart in the dark.
