Atrial Fibrillation

When I was 18 I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, the Dr. went in through the main artery in my groin area with a catheter and did the electrical procedure for correcting this.  As I am 32 now I am curious of the chances of this disorder coming back and reoccurring, please give any feed back or advise on this topic.

Sounds like you doctor did an ablation procedure, can you confirm?  I believe an ablation is permanent, i.e., if the ablation "kills" the error signal path, it will not reoccur.  That is not to say one can not develop new error signal paths, and it is likely, I believe, that such will happen if one has an oversize/stretched right atrial chamber.  This can be caused/aggravated by a leaky valve between the atrial and ventricle chambers, the mitral valve.  Under this leaky condition the ventricle can put back pressure on the atrial chamber, causing it to stretch/expand and introduce new error signal paths for Atrial Flutter/Fibrillation.

You didn't mention a leaky valve, or other permanent condition, so you may have the good fortune of not having any more heart rhythm problems....good luck.
