Iam  63 year old female. I had a heart attack 2 years ago, no damage to heart and 2 stents inserted. I have been having shortness of breath, strangely a huge urge to exhale deeply thought i was  having a heart attack went to e.r. was told i have pvc, Bigeminy, 50% ejection rate. Gave me lasix, potassium and extra metoprolol. helped at first and now is not.
Anyone ever have this?

Hi Sherry, I don't think your O2 sats were bad at all.  Anything > 90 or so is fairly normal.

The sigh thing, maybe it's a touch of asthma?  don't really know, I'm guessing at this point.

If you're in constant bigeminy, that might explain some of it too.  Being in constant bigeminy will reduce your overall circulation levels.

bigeminy is something I am currently experiencing and it certainlyyyyy affects my breathing. It cuts off my breathing as well. The dr.s aren't really sure what to do except to follow textbook.

YES THEY KEPT ME IN THE HOSPITAL FOR 3 DAYS. WHEN I WENT IN MY O2  WAS 93 WHEN I LEFT IT WAS 97-98. I SHOULD MAKE IT CLEAR WHEN IM SHORT OF BREATH I TAKE DEEP BREATH AND THAT HELPS THAN SOMETIME S I FEEL LIKE MY LUNGS ARE TOO HEAVY AND I HAVE THIS URGE THAT I MUST EXHALE SLOWLY AND COMPLETELLY. THAT ALWAYS MAKES ME FEEL BETTER.
