Being passed around like a hot potato

I've been diagnosed with bradycardia after being rushed to the hospital with a pulse in the 40’s, low BP, chest pains, nausea, and headache.  I'm a little overweight, so I know my pulse isn't because I am very fit.  I do work out, but my cardiologist has stopped that until she sees the results of a stress test, halter, and echo.  I do have a small problem with two valves in the heart that do not shut all the way.  However they have not given me problems(until now possibly, I'm not sure)  I am iron deficient(already have had a blood infusion and later iron IV).  In June my iron level was 6.  I went in to do an iron IV, but had a reaction.  This doctor then said I had to get 22 IV’s  in order to get the iron up.  I went to another doctor for a second opinion.  At this point my iron level is 8.  The first doctor said  I should get iron IV before I become anemic. The new doctor says I should wait until I am anemic.  At this point I'm not sure what I should do.  Between all the doctors I have had blood work done.  It has caused me some concern, and being I am not a doctor I do not know what they mean.  Should I be concerned with the following results.  The anion gap is 6 which says it is low.  The AST (SGOT) is 45 which says it is high.  The monocytes is 11 which says it is high.  The doctors seem to be at a loss as for what is wrong with me.  They continue to do tests, but nothing shows up.  I seem to be getting worse instead of better.  Do you have any suggestions for the doctors?  Should I do iron before or after I am anemic?  Thank you

For the blood issues, I'd see a hemotologist and for the rest of it, go and see an Internest.

I am already seeing a hemotologist(for the iron defeciency and anemia - that include blood infusions and iron IV's), a cardiologist(for the heart , pulse, and blood pressure issues), a neurosurgeon for my disc degenerative disease, and several other doctors for the other things.  My problem is when you ask a question they do not want to address my question because they seem to think the issue they are looking at is more important.  They say, we are not going to worry about that right now.  That's why I came on here to ask.  I have more than enough doctors looking at my problems, but apparently not the ones that I have questions for.  I have two hemotologist, but they have given me two answers.  I was just wondering which is the correct procedure, because I don't know.  (Iron IV before I'm anemic or after - I am iron deficient already, but the doctors disagree on the process)  I have to decide which way to go with it.

Hi, I suspect one kind of heart problem (don't know which kind, I'm not a doctor.) can cause iron deficiency.  You and me must have the same problem.  My hemotologist don't want me.  She said I didn't have cancer so she sent me back to my GP.  My Gastro Dr don't want me.  She said my tummy and colon didn't bleed so iron deficiency wasn't caused by them.  I was having chest pain (thought were heart attack), nausea, dizzyness, chest tightness and hard to breath.  Echo turn out MI.  When they did the angio found no blockage at all.  That time my Hb dropped to 7.8 (normal sould be 11.5-16.5).  Iron : 1 umol/L  (7 - 27).  Ferritin : 5 ug/L  (15 - 165).   Cardio don't care as well.  I was sent home and live like everyone else.

After that, my GP found me another gastro Dr.  She gave me a very strong bag of iron infusion.  Immediately my iron raised.  After 3 months, the Ferritin got below the range again.  She insisted to give me another infusion but I want to wait.  I want my body to grow or build it up.  Don't want to be an iron infusion dependent.   6 months ago, I was anemic but now my Hb has gone up to 12.3.  The Ferritin has fallen to < 8.  GP not happy, he said it could be 7.9 or 1 or 0!  My gastro dr said, she wants to top it up before my heart gets stress.  What is your ferritin level?  My GP said they're not refer to iron level, it varies day by day.  They want to refer to the ferritin level.

Take care.
