Bigeminy symptoms

I have a 20 year old daughter who recently was diagnoised with ventricular bigeminy.  (She had her wisdom teeth extracted and the oral surgeon encounterd irregular beats during procedure)  Our PCP requested a eco sonogram of her heart and a 24 hour heart monitor device.  Her her functions AOK, but the montior detected over 800 irregular beats of mostly bigeminy (and some trigeminy).  I can remember her as young as 4 or 5 years old asking me if I could "See her heart beating or feel her heart beathing".  Could it be possible that she has had this 'bigeminy' condition all her life.  She is scheduled to see a cardiologist in 10 days.  How concerned should I be about this condition?

I am sure she will be OK...as Jerry_NJ said it is usually benign.

But with that said she should definately see a cardiologist and I'm sure they will treat it.

It is very possible she has had this her whole life.

Your concern is well placed, seeing a cardiologist is the right thing to do.  I think this condition is usually benign, but see what the medical specialist says is the best advice I have.
