Bowel elimination!

I was in the hospital for five days with them running all sorts of tests on my heart - finding "no heart!"  Oh, Wizard of Oz - I'm the Cowardly Lion.....No, really, they say they couldn't find anything "wrong."

Okay, so I had horrible pain, I passed out twice, once on the floor at home and once in the ambulance.  They had me on nitroglycerin the whole time - when paramedics got here and in the hospital with a strip.  I was on morphine and nausea med. also.

When I came home, I could NOT eliminate.  I took large amounts of Benefiber, Align, a gentle women's laxative, and TWO enemas which immediately just ran right back out with fresh red blood!

After torturing myself for several hours, the only thing I could do was "manual evacuation" using a vaseline, gloved finger.  It was horrible!  Speaking of "fluttering heart" oh boy, did I have it then!!

Are any of the above meds. constipating?  I HATE discussing this with anyone, but I would like to know.  I see my dr. in a couple of days, but I thought maybe someone out there could give me an answer also.

Pain meds are notorious for causing constipation.
