Thank you all you kind people out there. My doctor says he will decide how to treat my hypothyroidism after he hears from the cardiologist who has yet to interpret my Holter monitoring. But I feel more optimistic and assured at his point.
I will update you all once things get going.
Yes bradycardia is a typical symptom of hypothyrodism. You may find relief with thyroid replacements like Sythroid, etc. This type of therapy is usually a life long choice, so it would do you best to research your options carefully. Also synthetic thyroid meds can cause HYPERthyroidism(which can cause arrythmias and tachycardia) so you must be monitored carefully while on these meds. Good luck!!!
I would say it should as bradycardia is a symptom of hypothyroidism. However, for more definitive information I would ask your doctor or you could try the thyroid section of MedHelp.
Treatment of thyroid conditions to address heart rhythm is often discussed on this Community... so my guess is "yes" treatment of the "mild" condition may help relieve you heart condition. What does your doctor say/think?
