CRP

i am suffering from inflammation of intestine due to which my c reactive protein level is higher than normal. does this put me at risk for heart problems????

No, not at all. The infection may be, but as long as it's under control, it's no problem.

CRP is just a marker in the blood, it doesn't cause damage.

But is excess CRP in blood harmful for health????????

No.

Of course, in theory most infections can affect the heart somehow, so if you feel severe changes in the heart (severe chest pain, massive amounts of PVCs or arrhythmias) you should (of course) see a physician, we all should.

I hope you get better from your inflammation and that it gets properly treated.
