Can an acclusionof the aorta cause the aortic root to enlarge?

Can an occlusion, 80% of the LAD cause the aortic root to enlarge? A stent was placed to eliminate the blockage
and now it appears the root may be enlarged.

Wow, that 's a pretty technical question. I would think the best one to answer that would be a cardiologist. When you say it appears the aortic root may have enlarged, is it because you are having symptoms?  I wish I could be more helpful but I'm afraid I don't know much about this subject.

I am having some strange feeling in my chest.  When I had the Stent placed the Doctor who did the procedure told my wife that the other arteries and my heart were fine. This was done on July 13th.  My cardiologist suggest I have a sonigram and there seems to be some enlargment in the aortic root.
