In an physical for life insurance, my almost 50 year old husband has been told he is high risk due to "EKGAtrioventricular block, ekg tracing Ecg Exercise stress test abnormalities - Q waves and AVF." There was no explanation as to why this was a problem but evidently insurance companies do not like "Q Waves and AVF." Can someone explain this to me please? Should he see a doctor? Is this a cause for concern?
I'm not sure about the Q waves and AVF, but if he is being told he is "high risk" I'd definitely follow up with a cardiologist. The life insurance company has an entirely different "interest" in your husband. He may find he is absolutely fine when he sees a cardio.
