Chest Pain

For the past two weeks I had chest pain. Everyday sometimes light pressure others heavy pain as if heart is being tightly squeeze.  Had sporadic heartbeats, skipping or fast beats lasting seconds. Also felt heavy load pain on neck, shoulders and upper back. During my regular weekend hike this week, I had a strong episode, in seconds my heart was beating out of my chest, cool sweats, light headed. I'm 42, 5-7, and 235lbs otherwise generally healthy. I was diagnosed with fybromailgia 4yrs ago only take over-the-counter meds. Also diagnose as a child with ITP in remission since the age of 11.  Lately I have notice a large increase of petequia all over my body, pin size to 1/8"d. I wonder if this chest pain is related to my conditions or need further assessment?  Thank you

Is your current weight a long term steady weight, or have you gained more than10 pounds in the last few months?  In the latter case I'd bet the extra weight is the central problem, but if you've been the same weight for a many months and you are currently doing the same amount of physical activity I'd guess the weight is no more than a contributor.  

Check your blood pressure and heart rate, that is the regular at rest rate.  If the HR is below 50 bpm or you have very low BP those could be key indicators of the source problem.

I do not have any knowledge on some the diagnosed conditions you mention, so I can't comment on any relationship.
