Chest soreness

Last night wasn't a good night for me, the palps were very strong, so strong that when it's happening it feels as if my chest is "hollow" or like it takes my breath away.
I also have some chest soreness ( not angina) just a general soreness in the chest area like it's muscles or something.
Does anyone else experience this feeling?

I am becoming quite familiar with PAC's, PVC's, palps, etc. and I am at best more knowledgeable about what I am experiencing, its still scary, like for instane yesterday when they were so strong they took my breath away and my chest was really sore and I was quite lethargic all day long, those are the times its hard to take my Dr's advice and "ignore" them.
For me when they get really bad I have to get up and walk to keep from having a panic attack, that seems to help with that for the most part.
I hate being debilitated by these and not being able to enjoy " a good quality of life" anymore due to never knowing at any given time or place when I am going to have a bad attack come on, so I tend to stay at home alot doing nothing since I don't want to be far away from home or out in public when/if it happens.

Hi, yep, those palps can be pretty uncomfortable.  They can feel like you've had the wind knocked out of you, hurt, garble your voice when talking, jerk your body forward, make you gasp and feel sore afterward.  AND, the good news is...(drum roll)....we are advised that they are benign.  As long as you've had a doctor do a good cardiac work-up and he tells you not to worry, you'll be fine.  I've had the buggers for 30 years now and am still here.  I will admit that they do tend to lessen my enjoyment of life when they hit, even though they are documented PVC's  & PAC's.  You are not alone.  Take care and I hope that knowing others have the same symptons helps a little.  I've described the above symptoms to my cardiologist and he said not to worry after each symptom.

Your speak of "palps" in a familiar way.  Does that mean you have them periodically?  Have you ever been diagnosed by a medical doctor?

In general, if what you feel is something that happens from time to time and you have checked it with a doctor, I'd say try to live with it.  If the symptom is new, you may want to give it a day or more, depending on severity and the presence of other symptoms, then if it continues seek medical attention.

This respone will push your post to the top, it may then attract some helpful input.

Good luck,
