Second, at times during the day I get whatever kind of palpitationsHeart palpitations, skipped or earlier beats, whatever they are, no big deal 3 or 4 beats in a row or so. I'm not concerned. It's the ones that stop me from breathing and make my eyes feel like they're bulging out that freak me out. They only last for a few seconds, but, I know at the time that if they continue I’m in trouble. A couple of good coughs and they seem to go away. Has anyone else experienced this?
When was the last time you had a "full" physical exam with an electrocardiogram? You didn't give your age, and if you're under 50 I suppose the EKG isn't normally given for a physical..this is a point I do not know the answer to. In any case, I think you should be checked at least by your primary care doctor, who may refer you to a cardiologist.
