Cigars and Vagus nerve

by Boomer118, Mar 28, 2008 10:42AM
The other night I was sitting on a couch having a cigar with the boys, when they said that my eyes rolled into the back of my head, and I passed out.  I was non responsive for 20-30 seconds, then came to, cooled off, went to bathroom and had a major bm.

Prior to passing out, I had 1 martini, and 1 glass of wine at dinner.  Drove to the cigar bar, felt great.  Halfway through the cigar, felt flush, nauseous, then passed out.  This happened before 4-5 years ago when again I was having a cigar, felt nauseous, went to the bathroom for a bm, and woke up on the floor having passed out again.

Since the other night, I have received Echo-Cardio Gram, cardiac catherization or coronary angiogram, and electro-physiology test (testing for electrical firing of heart).  All tests turned up that I had a great heart, good circulation, firing etc;

I suspect something to do with Vagus nerve stimulation and the cigars, but of course don't really know....but the cigars are a thing of the past!!

Thanks for responding.
