Cold Meds

Hi--
I was just wondering if any of you knew what cold or flu OTC medicines were okay to take for people with heart arrhythmias? I know that some can trigger them or make them worse, but not really sure.

Thanks!

Thanks for your help!!! I am ready for spring and for cold/flu season to pass. I still have to get my flu shot, but will wait until this cold has passed!

I didn't mention to avoid aspirin becuase I remembered that you weren't on Anticoag therepy. for SVT. So, just stay clear of the meds that also have stimulants and also any that contain caffeine (some do)

Theraflu or Tamiflu might help you.

I hope you feel better:)

I currently am not taking any other medications, I was just wondering if I should avoid certain ones that may trigger the arrhythmia or make them worse. Thanks!

You may also want to avoid medications with aspirin in them, especially if you are using an anticoagulant.

Hello...

Any cold or flu medications that do not contain ephedrine or pseudoephedrine should be ok...what other meds are you currently taking?
