Confusion on symptoms

I have recently had an episode of preamature beats where I felt this massivlely hard thumps in my heart seperated by a few beats. Now, after the second hard beat my heart rate was really fast, but eventually slowed down. Is this ventricular tachycardia? If so can this be a sign of ventricular fibrillation to come or sudden death? I have been having arrythmia problems for 5 years now. I have had an echocardiogram which I was told by phone by a cardiologist that it was "pretty normal" unquote. I have had an ekg done where it stated i had a lateral infaction. When I showed the cardiologist he looked at the reading and said it was normal, despite the fact the the walk in clinic doctor told me I had done irreversable damage to my heart. Obviously something is wrong and I do not know what. I do not even exercise anymore because of it. Can anyone help me on this or has anyone felt these premature beats followed by a fast heart beat?

I can't diagnose you symptoms, but can say I find your medical advice a bit troubling, as I read what you wrote.

I think you need to get a clear statement from the walk-in-clinic about what they found.  I'm surprised anyone would say "...done irreversable damage to my heart."  and not explain it further.

While you figure this out and what to do, I suggest you take if you are able, take an aspirin a day with one of your meals, this will provide some protection/help.
