Constant PVC's

Constant PVC's

I am a 50 year old female and have been experiencing regular, reoccuring PVC's (at least 4 - 5 PVC's/min) for almost a year now that seem to worsen at night and can awaken me when I am sleeping. I had extensive lab work completed (TSH, eletrolytes, CBC, LDL, Cholesterol) and all within normal limits. I have asthma so beta blockers are not an option. I work out regularly and am in relatively good physical condition (BMI = 24.7).

Any suggestions on what options I can pursue for relief?

Hi,

You mention the asthma, what are you taking for it? Some medications for Asthma may be prone to contribute to arrhythmias, such as Albuterol. Also, I believe that Calcium Channel Blockers can be used to treat PVCs for people that have Asthma.

Be well.

You could try an ablation, I had my second one March 5th and seemed to help some and I don't usually have any at night. If you don't have to many spots like myself it might work pretty good in your case' they won't know until they get in there [heart]. Lorazepam will slow your heart way down at night and is pretty effective in stoppping PVC's [for me anyway at night] and helps you sleep better than anything else 'I've tried'. There is something called sodium calcium CB my doctor told me about t last weak, but don't know anything about it. Good Luck
