Day 13 without Propranolol

All the acupuncture, herbs and diet changes must be working.  This is my longest stretch ever without my meds.  I am still getting the PVC's but only 1 or 2 a day that I can feel but no pain at all with them.  I usually have lots of discomfort with mine.  I have been able to walk at a brisk pace again also.  I know this could be short lived but I am enjoying it and running with it.  Just wanted to share for those who are down right now and need some hope.  It seems like I go in and out of these good spells every other month but the good stretches are getting longer each time it happens.  Plus I am only going to acupuncture now every 3 or 4 weeks and am mainly taking herbs for my issues.  I added more calcium and magnesium into my diet during the past 2 weeks also.

To Coribell,

What is MVP?  I know what you mean about the exercise.  A month ago I couldnt even walk up a small hill without my heart jumping into the 130's or 40's and staying there for hours followed by numerous PVC's.  I couldnt believe that a simple walk was doing all this.  My thoughts were the same as yours though.  If I sit around that is going to make this even worse so I have to fight.  I got some inspiration from Greendave on this site.  He was way worse than me 4 years ago and is now back on his mountain bike and is 20 years older than me.  I have no excuse not to try.

As for herbs I know nothing about them.  My acupuncturist came strongly recommended by a few people that I know so I took a leap of faith on her methods.  Each herb she gave me I researched double and triple before I took and so far so good.  My doc even looked up one of them and said that he couldnt argue me not to take it.  They can be very potent though so be really careful if you try to do it on your own or just find a good acupuncturist or Chinese doc.  I have a mix of herbs, juicing and vitamins right now that I alternate.  There are some veggies that you can juice that really help your heart.

Dont give up walking.  I almost did and look where I am right now.  Ill take 13 days over nothing:)

Thanks Brooke, I get afraid to think that way because it always seems to bite me but I will try again.

This is wonderful!!!!!!! It is always a breath of fresh air to hear, that sometimes, there is a light at the end of the tunnel:)

This update should most definitely bring a ray of hope to those who have lost it. For you, keep your head up and don't look back. Take it a day at a time. Look at the glass as not being half empty, but half full. Looking at it this way, there will be no reason to think that how you are feeling today will be every day from here on out!

Thanks for sharing your story of hope! Here's to many more good days!!!:)))

Good for you and maybe it wont be short lived and will last.I have mvp and have changed my diet(no more sweets and junk food) not sure if i should be walking so much but have walked around our field two times a day for days now and i worry some the walking will make my heart race but sitting around i think can only go against me in the long run so im taking my chances and walking anyways.I wish i knew more about herbs and i have a book on that maybe ill read and learn about their effects on health.Anyways just to say im happy your doing so well and keep it up and good luck to you.
