Desperate for answers I need a doctor "House" who cares enough to seek answers

My mother, age 50, is in and out of the ER/Hospital several times a year because she passes out.  She usually can feel it coming on and is currently in the hospital as we speak.  The doctors all run test and follow protocols but none can come up with an answer as to what is occurring.  Her symptoms this time and usually are as follows:

High blood pressure
low pulse
chest pressure...not pain
nausia
and she can feel her heart due flip flops
her breathing rate drastically drops, reaches 0 and she passes out
her skin was ice cold and clammy, but she complained she was burning up despite the cold temperature in the ER

I spoke to her yesterday at one and she sounded wonderful, by 2 she felt horrible and took a nap, by 5 there was concern that she was not feeling better yet, and by 8:30 she was in route by ambulance to the ER.  Which she would not allow to happen unless she felt horrible.  She works for a hospital, and at this point I can tell she is scared as I am that they will know what was wrong with her when it is too late.

She had a pace maker put in 2008 as of this July but even then the doctor stated we saw nothing outright warranting the placement of the pacemaker we did it as more of a precaution.  After the pace maker was put in she felt wonderful for about a year and then suddenly she is back in and out of the hospital.  Over the last few years she has been treated for Lyme's Disease as well as she has been bitten by 4 ticks that carried it.

They have ran all kinds of normal blood test on her, but her through cat scan, checked if maybe she has lupus, checked to see if it was a nerve issue in her brain, had disease control come in and do a consult and nothing...please help...we are so desperate

She was seen by an infectious disease specialist, I'm not quite sure what they are treating her with, I do know that she is allergic to the common medication for Lyme Disease.  At this time the doctors are saying that the Lyme's disease attacked her heart.  Her family doctor did not prescribe antibiotics until a week after she was bit and unfortunately she has a really weak immune system and the lab takes up to a month to get results back about these tests.  As well her family doctor did not prescribe her enough  of the medicine.  She is however out of the hospital and doing very well besides being very  tired.

I agree w. CFS56...i think it should bear looking into.  My daughter was also bit by a Lyme Disease tic about 1991 and the tic was sent off to the CDC and came back positive and let me tell you they didn't even hesitate...she got over 5 mil. mgs. of tetracycaline in a 24 hour period and we got lucky because alot of the long term symtoms mimic Rheumatic Fever among alot of other ugly thiings tht can happen to your body.  I don't think you should rule anything out here Jenni...you need to find the answers and if they don't know them they need to refer you and your mom to someone who can answer these questions of why it is happening.  No one should have to go thru what you two are...you are a great daughter to her and she is very very lucky to have you.....i wish you the best on your quest for the answers here.....

I really don't have much to offer, hope they figure out what is wrong with your mom.  But 1 thing kinda jumped out at me.  The Lymes disease.  Do you know what she was treated with and for how long?  I have lymes disease and have had to undergo treatment with antibiotics for 30 days 3 times.  There are lots of cases of treatment failure and chronic lymes disease.  It can cause cardiac and neurological problems.  I was intially diagnosed in 1995 and have had several "flares" even after supposedly succesful treatments.  If she hasn't been seen by an infectious disease specialist, it may be worthwhile to do so.
