Do I qualify fof a CRT-D?

Do I qualify fof a CRT-D?

3/11/10 diagnosed with CHF, LBBB, and Ef < 20 %. I am 58y, a nurse, female, had asthma like symptoms for last 8-12 months. I asked for chest X-ray, and here we are.  My question; do I qualify for a CRT-D ? My cardio and my EP think it would be a good idea, but they are leaving the decision up to me. No one is saying that I have to have as I know has been told to other patients. I have done extensive reading, know the risks with surgery, but when I asks my primary caediologists, he says "that is the million dollar question". Do I give drugs time to see if things improve or to I weight the risk of SCD? I am on Coreg 6.25 bid. Was not bumped up in dose because of HR 48-60. I am also taking Lisinopril 10 hs, Lasix 20 bid, aldactone 25 daily, dig 0.125 hs. Ican walk a mile, maybe two with just a little SOB most days; other days I am SOB when I get out of bed, get really winded washing my hair, feel a need to sit down when I shop for groceries. BP anywhere from 90-120 over 50-65. My card cath showed no blockages.

Thanks for posting through my forum.
After reading your history of present illness, your definitly  a candidate for CRT -D implant .
As your Ef is below 20% with LBBB,CHF.
This kind of treatment displays better results on patients already on medical Rx.
These Implants will definitly give a better result in improving blood pumping and helps in resynchronization.
I can suggest these implants.
Only thing is these are costly implants.
Do consult your cardiologist again and follow his advice.
As i can provide information on the basis of your post ,as i cannot examine you physically.

Be Relaxed.
