Does anyone else ever feel a pulse in their abdomen?

Every so often, I feel beats in the left side of my tummy....
just wondering if anyone else gets this & if it is anything to be concerned about?

Yes, I do too...very strongly on the left side. That's a question that crops up on here quite alot actually.

Abdominal pulse is normal.  You have a big fat artery called the aorta that runs down there and supplies all your organs with blood. So that is what you are feeling. It is possible to get an aneurysm in the aorta but this is very rare.

Seriously, it's very normal.  Google a picture of the cardiovascular system and you'll automatically see why this phenomenon occurs.  Some people actually *see* their pulse in their abdomen.
