Can Trazodone cause sudden death cardiac arrest?

Recent clinical studies in patients with pre-existing cardiac disease indicate that trazodone may be arrhythmogenic in some patients. Until the results of prospective studies are available, patients with pre-existing cardiac disease should be closely monitored, particularly for cardiac arrhythmias.

It appears that Trazodone should be used with caution in patients with underlying arrhythmia's or heart disease. I would suggest talking with your GP or Cardio if you have concerns.
