Hi...I was admitted about 5 months ago at ICU due to shortness of breath. This month I have an EKG and results or interpretation reads regular sinus rhythm, septa l wall ischemia, poor-R wave progression,V1-V2..,...Please kindly let me know more or explain to me the result....thank you
The EKG findings that your describe could possibly be consistent with an older myocardial infarct (heart attack). However, the EKG findings may also be a normal variant or just dependent on the precise positioning of the EKG leads across your chest. It is important to remember that every EKG must be interpreted in the context of the patient. Your symptoms at the time of the EKG, and your medical history will determine the clinical significance of the EKG findings you describe above.
Matters of the heart are rarely simple. But one thing is clear: to lower your risk of heart attack and heart disease, cut back on salt. Here’s how and why.
