EP Study

EP Study

I had an ep study done just over a month ago and the insertion site in my groin is still a little sore.  Some days is aches and some days its fine.  Is this normal?  How long before the site completely heals?

Hmmm... I had an EP study done ten years ago and I remember my leg being sore for a while.  For a few years afterward, it was sore whenever the weather changed!  As long as it does not look infected, I think you're ok.  Have you talked to your doctor about it?

Hi, yes it will be sore for awhile but it does get better. Ive had 3epstudies and 2 ablations done and i was sore for a bit. I think mine was sore for a few weeks or so. If it continues i would ask your doctor about it. What was your EP study for if you dont mind me asking?

The ep study was done for pvc's.  I was under the impression they were going to do an ablation but decided not to for some reason.  I'll get the results at my follow up in March.

hello, Maybe the pvc's were dormant when they went in to ablate. I know when i had my 2nd EP done they could'nt produce anything, even with alot of the meds they use for that purpose,so no ablation was done. The 3rd time i went in they were able to ablate. I hope everything turns out good for you.. Do you have alot of Pvc's?

Hello My name is Jessica and Im 25yrs old who lives in WNY. Im having an ep study and ablation done in july. If anyone has had this done before, what should I expect during the procedure? What are the side effects after having this done? How long did it take to heal? Is it uncommon for me to be dealing with this at my age? If anyone has anything they would like to comment on this, please respond thank you :o)
