EP study...is it really necessary?

EP study...is it really necessary?

I have been having symptoms for a while now. Mostly fatigue and dizziness, sometimes I have attacks of severe trembling, and a rapid heart rate (prolly 150 max) which I think my have just been anxiety attacks. I have had several EKGs, a holter monitor, a stress test, and an echo. During the holter monitor my heart rate was down to 32 over night which is why I was sent to a cardiologist. I just went to an EP doctor today. He said he did not see anything on my tests to believe that my symptoms were related to my heart. He said to ease my mind though he wanted to schedule a EP study. I haven't had one before, but I have had a radio-frequency ablation procedure in 2004 to fix my WPW. So I know how uncomfortable, and invasive these could be. I was just wondering if this is even necessary since he said all of my test look normal? I am just concerned about having to go through something like this again even though I know risks are low the procedure still worries me.

Thanks in advance
JJ

I would do it just to eliminate the issues.  diagnoses is a process of elimination.  I have issues with anxiety and recently endured 2.5 hours in a closed bore MRI.  Some of it was torture but I sucked it up and got through it, I'm so glad I did.   My wife calls a big baby but even she admitted she could not get through that :-)

I thought they pretty much put you out for an EP study?
