So when your doc says that they feel its event are they saying that it was a single random event caused by an event?  I am a runner from way back and have eased off but the only difference that i noticed on the beta blocker is that my pulse rate didn't climb as high and i took this as a positive.  I would definately run this past your doc (excuse the pun) just to make sure that they have no objections to you pushing your heart...hopefully the doc that gave you the beta blocker was a heart doc and if it wasn't if you are a fairly serious runner i would ask your family doc to refer you to a heart doc just to get a work up done for a little reassurance and a safety net.........good luck with this.

Only one.  It is worth getting this looked into if you like running.  I like running and have not given it up even though I have problems. If my problems were worse, I would pursue fixes or drug therapy until I could run again. Just me.  I enjoy running.
