Thanks again for the information, I am trying to get back to a "normal" lifestyle
I probably don't have 1000 every day. I think they are slowly getting better. I'd say I get 200-800/day now. When my heart rate is fast during exercise, there is no room for an extra beat to happen. It sort of cancels out the PVC's. I'd say this happens at rates above 120 bpm. Then I get PVC's again after I finish exercising and my heart rate is back to normal! If I lift weights I do get PVC's then, because my heart rate is not that high.
To be honest, I still don't work out at the intensity I used to, because in the back of my mind I am still scared. But the cardiologist I saw said it was safe, so I try to keep that in mind. Go back to exercising slowly, to build your confidence.
Thank you for sharing your information. My situation appears to be much smaller then yours, but even so they scare me every time. You mentioned you have begun exercising again, you experience 1,000 PVCs daily but not during exercise? I would like to get back a a more rigorous/or any exercise routine but I am too afraid. Please keep us posted as to how things progress for you.
Hi,
I'm 27 and for the past four months I've had premature beats (PVC's) every day. I had a holter monitor which I wore for 24 hours to record my heartbeat, and the results showed over 1000 premature beats in a day! So just be glad you only have 4-5. Even with 1000, the doctors still said it was not dangerous, because I have a healthy heart. I'm hoping mine will go away, too! I'm starting to exercise again (I was too scared to for a while), and while my heartrate is high I have no PVC's. I think exercise is supposed to help with these. Another thing you could try is magnesium supplements (citrate or glycinate is best).
If you are still worried, you could get a second opinion to set your mind at rest. But from what I understand, premature beats in a healthy heart are not harmful. Good luck!
